AKAR Farm, a startup company in the agri-tech sector, continues to be committed to promoting the quality of agriculture in Indonesia through collaboration with Indotech and the joining of Oscar Darmawan.
“The joining of Oscar Darmawan brings new enthusiasm and extraordinary experience as a practitioner in the technology sector and a professional businessman in Indonesia. “He has a successful history of improving company performance at Indodax and is listed on the 40 Under 40 list, according to Fortune Indonesia,” said AKAR.
This startup, headquartered in Jakarta, provides sustainable and innovative food solutions for urban areas and challenging environments, using soil-free and pesticide-free (organic) technology.
AKAR aims to transform conventional agriculture into more modern indoor agriculture. On one occasion, COO of AKAR, Hutomo Danu, stated, “We offer solutions for millennials and Gen Z who want to farm easily, considering that only 20% of them are interested in farming on land.”
We expect to produce high-quality agricultural products, including vegetables, spices, and fruits, by reducing the use of pesticides. This is possible through the optimal utilization of 1.8 square meters of land, which not only improves the quality of agricultural products but also supports sustainability and environmental health.
AKAR and Indotech hope that through the use of technology in agriculture, this collaboration can create sustainable solutions, increase productivity, and support food security. With this, it can realize a better and greener future for future generations.
