In Celebrating 9th Anniversary, Indodax Collaborate with Ayobantu for Hydroponic Gardens

To welcome the 9th anniversary of Indodax, Indodax collaborate with Ayobantu in a program called “Indodax for the Country: Indodax Hydroponic Garden” to cultivate hydroponic plantations as an active step in reducing the impact of global warming. This garden is located in Ratujaya Village, Cipayung District, Depok City, and aimed for the residents to earn additional income from the cultivation of this hydroponic plant.

Hydroponic gardens utilize limited land and can help reduce the effects of global warming. Moreover, it can also help people to live healthier, by providing a good source of quality food to every family in the designated area daily, while giving the community economic improvement as the vegetables produced can be traded.

Indodax CEO Oscar Darmawan, said, ” This time we did this CSR for celebrating the 9th anniversary of Indodax. We chose CSR in the field of the environment which is a program where we optimize vacant land to become a productive garden that cultivates vegetables and fruit. This program hopes to create financial independence for flat residents, by entrepreneurial activities to develop the potential of each region and person. ”

As for the implementation of this hydroponic garden, Indodax is working with Ayobantu, an online donation platform that has been trusted to be the executor of the Indodax’s CSR program since two years ago.

“We are very proud to be able to facilitate the hydroponic vegetable planting program carried out by Indodax for residents of Rusunawa Ratu Jaya, Cipayung. We are happy to be able to work with #brandPuli who have the concern to preserve the environment,” said CEO Ayobantu Agnes Yuliavitriani.

Indodax and Ayobantu fund MSME

IN 2023, Indonesia is expected to be affected by the global recession. Even so, it is projected that the Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs) business will have great potential for national economic growth.

Based on the records of the Ministry of Finance (Ministry of Finance), the role of MSMEs is very large for Indonesia’s economic growth, with the number reaching 99% of all business units.

The contribution of MSMEs to GDP also reaches 60.5%, and to employment is 96.9% of the total national employment absorption.

Realizing the great potential of MSMEs that can drive the national economy, Indodax and Ayobantu held a CSR program entitled “Indodax’s Love for the Nation: Help Empower Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSMEs)”. As #BrandCare for UMKM, Indodax is committed to empowering the Indonesian people in the economic field, including MSME business people.

In this CSR program, Indodax is providing assistance in providing carts as infrastructure that supports the convenience of MSME players in continuing their business. As a fellow businessman, Indodax CEO Oscar Darmawan considers that CSR in the MSME field is very interesting.

“The MSME sector is an essential sector that needs to be given full attention and support. This MSME CSR program is like us helping people, not by giving fish but by providing fishing rods,” said Oscar Darmawan as CEO of Indodax.

“I believe this assistance will be sustainable and continue to produce for itself. My hope is that this assistance will have a big impact on them,” he said. “I also believe that informal sector industry players are economic heroes in Indonesia. By providing the opportunity to grow to be even better, so that they can be beneficial not only for themselves but also for the surrounding environment,” explained Oscar.

For your information, Indodax’s Love for the Country is community development (community development) in the economic field, which is limited in terms of resources and access to outsiders to create financial independence, both for individuals and families using entrepreneurial activities.

For its implementation, this CSR program will be run by Ayobantu, an online donation platform that has been Indodax’s CSR partner since 2020.

Assistance will be provided in the form of capital in the form of a sales cart which can be modified according to the needs of beneficiaries and business assistance.

The implementation of the assistance program will be carried out at the end of November 2022, targeting MSMEs in the Jakarta, Bogor, Depok, Tangerang and Bekasi (Jabodetabek) areas. Two MSME actors who have received assistance from this program are Mrs. Waningsih (a nasi uduk trader in North Jakarta) and Abah Tahrir (a traveling coffee seller who usually sells at Setu Cikaret).

Regarding this collaboration, Ayobantu Founder and CEO Agnes Yuliavitriani said that his party would always uphold the trust given by every partner who works with Ayobantu, including Indodax.

Therefore, he hopes that this program can participate in helping MSME players in Indonesia to maintain their business existence, especially in 2023 which is expected to be full of challenges.

“Starting a business can be likened to a marathon, which consists of a long and winding process with various challenges facing it,” said Agnes. “On the one hand, business actors, especially small and micro businesses, will certainly be open and helped by the support provided so that their businesses can survive, especially in difficult times in the future,” he concluded.

Through integrating blockchain technology with the commodity market, Lyfe inspired to enables the deliverance of physical assets via a decentralized network system.

While trading gold has already become a common practice, people might not be aware that silver also has the same potential to be explored. One of the potential gains in trading silver is volatility that is higher than gold. Data shows in 2011, silver had reached its bullish cycle and pushed the metal up almost 500% from its initial price. Moreover, it also has far more usages for industrial purposes than gold, for example in the healthcare and electronics industries.

However, there is a common issue of investing or trading silver, which lies on storing method. Since it is cheaper than gold, people can buy more silver compared to gold. And as the price of 1kg of gold equals 65kg of silver, it will be a hassle to store up as it requires more storage space.

Therefore, to solve this problem, Lyfe gold and Lyfe silver are built on ERC20 technology. By utilizing blockchain, Lyfe can convert gold and silver into a token that can be securely traded and stored. Hence, users can buy and store gold and silver conveniently and safely, anywhere and anytime.

Ayobantu, Ramadan Gifts for Dhuafa Families

In welcoming the holy month of Ramadan, Ayobantu collaborates with Rumah Zakat to share with the elderly and poor people through a program called ‘Alms for Dhuafa Families’ (Sedekah Bingkisan Keluarga Dhuafa).

As stated in the Qur’an Surah Al-Fajr that:
“Absolutely not! You don’t even glorify orphans and you don’t invite each other to feed the poor while you eat inheritance by mixing (lawful and unlawful) and you love excessive wealth” (Q.S Al-Fajr (89) verses 17-20).

Mak Nonoh’s Story

One of the stories of elderly family fighters, whose families are classified as underprivileged (Dhuafa) comes from Mak Nonoh, she is a 77-year-old widow who works as a scavenger in the Cikutra area, Bandung. In his old age, Mak Nonoh had to work to  support her 4 orphaned grandchildren.

Mak Nonoh’s daughter used to work as a housemaid to support the needs of Mak Nonoh’s 4 grandchildren, but since the pandemic, she has not worked anymore. Currently, she is working on several odd jobs, so their income has decreased drastically. To live, everyday they try to eat as little as possible, and sometimes they need rely on food that is given by their neighbours.

Mak Nonoh and her 4 grandchildren have to live in a narrow house of 28 square meters, where is no toilet inside the house. Mak Nonoh and her family have to use public toilets and manually draw water. Not only that, the difficult life of Mak Nonoh and her grandson has caused some of her grandchildren forced to drop out from school.

Mbah Darmi’s Story

“Even though I am tired and it is dangerous, I still need to go to the fields to work. I am the breadwinner for the family because my husband has not worked for a long time since he is old and has no energy,” said Darmi, 64 years old.
Every day, Darmi travels 30 minutes by foot to go to the rice fields. To reach the destination, she had to cross the river with a narrow path. Even so, she still left because she needed to earn money to survive.
Mbah Darmi continues to pray that her children will be successful and admits that she wants to enjoy her old age by not working hard. “Hopefully my children can be successful, so I don’t have to work anymore, and they can help me,” she hoped.

Can you imagine…? At the age of Mak Nonoh and Mbah Darmi, they still need to struggle to support her family? Of course, Mak Nonoh and Mbah Darmi aren’t the only one, out there there are thousands of elderly people who are family fighters struggled to feed their family daily.

To help them, therefore, Rumah Zakat invites all friends to lend a helping hand and give a little happiness to Mak Nonoh, Mbah Darmi, and other elderly people in need through the program Ramadan of Ayobantu Alms for Dhuafa Families (Sedekah Bingkisan Keluarga Dhuafa).
