Oscar Darmawan: Innovator and Changemaker for the Digital World
Oscar Darmawan is a pioneer in blockchain and cryptocurrency. As one of the founders of Indodax, a leading crypto exchange in Indonesia since 2014, he has led the platform to have more than 7 million members with a daily transaction volume of IDR 2 trillion. His innovative approach makes him a key player in the digital asset revolution.
Educational Excellence and Awards
Oscar holds a Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology and Systems from Monash University and a Master’s degree in Blockchain and Digital Currency from the University of Nicosia, Cyprus. He is currently pursuing a Doctorate in Computer Science at Binus University, complementing his expertise with a legal advocate license. In 2021, he was recognized by Fortune Indonesia in the prestigious 40 Under 40 list, highlighting his success as a young business leader.
Setting Records and Expanding the Industry
Oscar has won two records from the Indonesian Record Museum (MURI): becoming the first person in Indonesia to record a marriage on the Bitcoin blockchain and becoming the first Indonesian to obtain a Master’s degree in Blockchain. Oscar currently leads the following business groups:
